The Pathway Volunteer Coordinator recruits, trains, and manages volunteers and ensures that volunteer activities are carried out effectively and efficiently in accordance to the organization's mission and objectives. The Volunteer Coordinator helps expand the capacity of the staff with volunteer support.

Reports to: Director of Programs
Duties & Responsibilities

Recruits volunteers for activities, events, and programs

Orients new volunteers with the organization’s mission, policies, and their role

Trains volunteers with the skills they need to perform their tasks effectively

Matches volunteers with opportunities that suit their skills and interests

Coordinates logistics for volunteer activities, including materials
-
Serves as the primary point of contact for volunteers, offering support and guidance as needed
-
Maintains accurate records of volunteers' contact information, skills, availability, and preferences

Tracks volunteer hours and contributions for reporting purposes and to evaluate the effectiveness of the volunteer program

Facilitates communication between the organization's staff and volunteers

Assists with building maintenance as needed

Assists with Youth Council and attend meetings

Supports purchase of supplies and running errands for the organization as needed
Requirements
-
Knowledge of Indianapolis and Far-Eastside area required
-
Must have a Minimum of an Associate's Degree and Two to Four (2-4) Years of Experience related to the specified Duties and Responsibilities ideally working with non-profits

Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check

Must have a Reliable Vehicle with Current Vehicle Insurance and Valid Driver’s License

Must be able to work 10-15 Hours per Week

Must work some Weekends and Evenings

Excellent computer skills and thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs, including Word, Excel and Google Drive
