Free Mobile Lung Screenings from IU Health

Don’t wait! A quick, painless lung screening can save your life.

Lung screening is covered by insurance, including Medicare and Medicaid, if you meet the eligibility requirements. Lung screening is done by using a low dose CT scan. The scan takes 3D images of your lungs using a small amount of radiation. Screening requires no needles, no special diet, and no need to change clothing.

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths for ALL Hoosiers and typically does not cause any symptoms in the early stages. Specifically Black Americans with lung cancer are less likely to be diagnosed at an early stage, less likely to receive surgical treatment and less likely to receive any treatment at all, compared to White Americans.
