The Youth Council Coordinator is responsible for leading Pathway’s Youth Council. The Youth Council provides an opportunity for youth engagement in the community where members learn professional, business, and leadership skills. This is a paid contract position (average 6-15) hours per month.

Reports to: Director of Programs
Duties & Responsibilities

Facilitate and provide oversight of the the Youth Council program and activities

Recruit youth for the Council and meet membership goals

Train youth on planning and implementing events, activities, and programs hosted by Pathway
-
Lead Youth Council meetings including scheduling meetings, issuing agendas, providing
materials/resources, and distributing meeting minutes -
Implement project initiatives and participant action items

Manage youth participation, program requirements, and approval of stipend for successful completion

Track attendance and program data

Attend Youth Council events as chaperon and monitor

Evaluate existing programs/projects

Complete reporting requirements as requested

Partner with Pathway staff on programs and calendar of events
Requirements

Must have a Minimum of a High School Degree and minimum of Two (2) Years of Experience with key duties and responsibilities

Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check

Must have a reliable transportation
-
Must have good attendance
-
Must have a willingness to accept feedback from leadership

Knowledge of Indianapolis and Far-Eastside area Preferred

Monthly paid contract position average of 6-15 hours per month
